Legal
Terms of Service
Effective and last updated 2026-09-06.
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and Valuer Dekho ("ValuerDekho", "we", "us", "our"), governing your access to and use of https://valuerdekho.com, our WhatsApp and email channels, and the valuer account and admin portal (together, the "Platform"). By visiting, browsing, creating an account on, or otherwise using the Platform, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.
If you are a registered valuer, Chartered Accountant, Chartered Engineer or firm listing on ValuerDekho, the Valuer Partner Terms also apply to you and take precedence over these Terms for anything specific to listings.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and capable of entering into a binding contract under the Indian Contract Act, 1872 to use the Platform. By using it, you confirm that you meet this requirement.
2. What ValuerDekho is, and is not
ValuerDekho is a comparison and introduction platform. We help property owners compare government-registered property valuers on registration type, fee bands and turnaround, and we introduce shortlisted valuers to interested property owners.
We are not a valuer, Chartered Accountant, Chartered Engineer, law firm or financial adviser. We do not inspect property, prepare valuation reports, certify net worth, or give tax, legal or investment advice. Every valuation report, certificate or professional opinion is prepared, signed and issued solely by the independent registered valuer, CA or firm you choose to engage, and that person or firm is solely responsible for its content, accuracy and any consequence of relying on it. ValuerDekho is not a party to, and assumes no responsibility for, the contract, fee, timeline or outcome of the engagement between you and the valuer you select.
3. Using the Platform as a property owner
Using ValuerDekho to request quotes is free. When you submit an enquiry:
- You confirm the information you provide is accurate to the best of your knowledge
- We will share the relevant details with up to a small number of valuers we consider suitable for your purpose and city, as described in our Privacy Policy
- Any quote, fee, timeline or engagement you agree with a valuer is between you and that valuer; we do not collect payment on your behalf, guarantee any price, or guarantee that a valuer will respond
4. Accounts for valuers and firms
To submit a listing you must create an account with accurate, current and complete information, and keep your login credentials confidential. You are responsible for all activity under your account. We may suspend or terminate an account that provides false information, misuses the Platform, or breaches these Terms or the Valuer Partner Terms.
5. Registration verification
Before a listing goes live, and before it is marked "verified," our team checks the registration documents the valuer submits (for example, a Section 514 registration certificate and, for former Section 34AB holders, the Form 169 acknowledgement; an IBBI Registered Valuer number; Chartered Engineer membership; or CA membership and UDIN). This check reflects the documents we saw on the date shown on the profile. It is not, and should not be read as, a guarantee that any report the valuer later issues will be accepted by any embassy, bank, court, tax authority or other third party, or that the valuer's future conduct will meet any particular standard.
6. Fees
Using ValuerDekho to find and compare valuers is, and will remain, free for property owners. Any fee a valuer quotes you is that valuer's own and is payable directly to them; ValuerDekho does not process, hold or take a share of that payment. For valuers, a basic verified listing is currently free for firms who complete verification before 31 December 2026; we may introduce paid listing tiers, lead fees or featured placements in future, which will be disclosed on the For valuers page and, where they change terms for an existing account, notified to the account holder in advance.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to, and not to help anyone else to:
- Provide false, misleading or fraudulent information in an enquiry, account or listing
- Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with one
- Scrape, crawl or harvest data from the Platform other than through our published sitemap, RSS feed or llms.txt
- Interfere with, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Platform, its accounts or its underlying systems
- Upload or transmit viruses, malware or other harmful code
- Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose or in a way that infringes anyone else's rights, including intellectual property and privacy rights
- Use contact details obtained through the Platform for unrelated marketing without the recipient's consent
8. Listings and content
Valuers are solely responsible for the accuracy of the information in their listing. We may edit a listing's formatting for consistency, and we may review, approve, mark as pending, pause, reject or remove any listing at our discretion, including where information appears inaccurate, unverifiable, or in breach of these Terms, with reasons communicated to the account where feasible. Where a listed firm is affiliated with ValuerDekho's owners, this is disclosed on that firm's profile.
9. Intellectual property
The Platform's design, text, graphics, logos, glossary, guides and other content (excluding valuer-submitted listing content and third-party trademarks) belong to ValuerDekho or our licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may view and use the Platform for your own personal, non-commercial purpose of finding or offering property valuation services; you may not reproduce, republish or create derivative works from our content without our prior written permission, except as permitted by law (for example, fair dealing for reporting or research) or expressly allowed elsewhere on the site (such as our public sitemap, RSS feed and llms.txt files, which anyone may read and index).
10. Third-party links
The Platform links to valuers' own websites, government portals (such as state guideline-value or registration portals) and other third-party resources for your convenience. We do not control and are not responsible for the content, accuracy, availability or practices of any linked site, and linking to it is not an endorsement.
11. No professional advice
Content on the Platform, including service pages, city guides, comparisons, the glossary, the fee calculator and the blog, is general information about property valuation, taxation and related regulation in India, current as of the "last reviewed" date shown on each page. It is not tax, legal, financial, investment or valuation advice, and using it does not create an adviser-client or professional relationship between you and ValuerDekho, or between you and any author or reviewer named on a page. Laws, rules and government portals change; always confirm your specific position with a qualified, currently practising professional before acting.
12. Disclaimer of warranties
The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available." To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that any listed valuer will meet your expectations. See our Disclaimer page for further detail.
13. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ValuerDekho, its owners, officers and personnel will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or any loss of profit, revenue, data or goodwill, arising from or relating to your use of the Platform, any valuation report or advice you obtain from a valuer you found through it, or your reliance on any content on the Platform, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
14. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold ValuerDekho and its owners, officers and personnel harmless from any claim, liability, damages, loss or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Platform, or your violation of any law or the rights of a third party.
15. Termination
You may stop using the Platform, or a valuer may close their account, at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Platform, or remove a listing, at any time for breach of these Terms, non-payment of any applicable fee, or where we reasonably believe it necessary to protect the Platform, other users or the public. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification and governing law) will survive.
16. Force majeure
We are not liable for any delay or failure to perform caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including acts of God, natural disaster, war, terrorism, civil unrest, government action, internet or telecommunications failure, or failure of a third-party service provider.
17. Grievance redressal
If you have a complaint about content on the Platform, how your data was handled, or anything else covered by these Terms, please see our Grievance Redressal page, which names our Grievance Officer and sets out how and when we respond, in line with the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021 and the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020.
18. Governing law and dispute resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to the arbitration agreement below, the courts at New Delhi, India have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms or the Platform.
Any dispute, controversy or claim arising out of or relating to these Terms, including its formation, breach, termination or validity, that cannot first be resolved through good-faith negotiation within 30 days, shall be referred to and finally resolved by arbitration under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, by a sole arbitrator appointed by mutual agreement (or, failing agreement, in accordance with that Act). The seat and venue of arbitration shall be New Delhi, India, and the language of arbitration shall be English. This clause does not prevent either party from seeking urgent interim relief from a court of competent jurisdiction.
19. Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020
As an online platform that facilitates the discovery of and introduction to third-party service providers, we aim to comply with applicable provisions of the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020, including publishing our identity and grievance contact details (see Grievance Redressal), not engaging in unfair trade practices, and not manipulating listing order to the detriment of property owners beyond the verification and quality signals described in these Terms and our About page.
20. Severability and waiver
If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force. Our failure to enforce any right or provision will not be considered a waiver of that right or provision.
21. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time, for example to reflect a change in the law or in how the Platform works. We will post the revised Terms here with an updated effective date. Continuing to use the Platform after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms; if you do not agree, please stop using the Platform.
